UK BlOg 3
Stratford! The land of Mr. Shakespeare. I really enjoyed the play, above all. Another English town, another place where everything closes early. But I have thoughts. I am so used to everywhere being open late that I just swing by a fast food restaurant at any hour when I am hungry? Oh, are you in the UK and wanting a late night snack? TOO BAD. I am beginning to think that no one here has the 4th meal cravings. But while Stratford had every store closed by 6 pm, they did have something that no where else has had. A McDonalds close to the hotel! Right next to it in fact. Breakfast, not at the Premier Inn, was fantastic. And the fact I was able to eat after the play, EVEN MORE FANTASTIC. I really have taken for granted how easy and accessible McDonalds is here in the states. Much like love, you never can appreciate it until it is gone.
But I really like their acting over here. I knew the UK had chops with the likes of Hugh Grant hailing from the kingdom. But that was a spectacular play. I wish we had more accessible plays to the masses in the States. It is such a posh and cultured thing to do, it has been subsequently priced high to deter normal people from attending. Such a wonderful experience and one of my favorite moments of the trip thus far.
